How to boss those brows at home!

So by now I'm thinking we have had 6 weeks at home and those eyebrows must be taking over your face and possibly joining in the middle, am I right?!

Well don't fear Katy the brow professional is here it guide you into the beauty therapists secrets of how to get your brows looking on fleek at home!

So the biggest thing that I have learned since working in the beauty industry is that famous saying "eyebrows are more like sisters and not twins" So however hard you try they will never be completely symmetrical because they don't grow symmetrically! So just embrace the fact that they are unique!

Here are my top tips for getting your brows beautiful:

1. Always pluck the hair in the direction it grows from, gently full the skin taut so the hair doesn't break.

2. Make sure you pluck after you have opened the pours and the skin is soft so have a hot bath or shower before.

Never pluck hairs from the top as you will cut into your natural eyebrow shape- when getting your eyebrows waxed will only take the fine fluffy hairs to give your eyebrows more definition.

3.Don't over pluck! It's very easy to do and one hair can completely alter the shape of your eyebrows. You can't stick them back on so don't get frustrated and pluck several hairs at once! Pluck a few then stand back from the mirror and have a look.

5. Mark out the shape of your eyebrows using an eyebrow pencil/eyeliner. This will ensure your plucking only where you want! get yourself some our our eyebrow stencils on the link below and you can use these as a guide.

6. To thicken your eyebrows so they look more defined and to fill in any gaps use an eyebrow pencil or powder. I recommend the brow definning powder by tropic!

Use this guide below so you know where your eyebrow should start, where the arch should be and where they finish:

1.. Start by taking a pencil and line the pencil up from the corner of your mouth, to the corner of your nose and up to in between your eyebrows - this is where they should start.

2.. Now measure from the corner of your nose to the pupil of your eye and up, this is where your arch should be.

3. Lastly Measure from the corner of your nose to the end of your eyebrow, this is where is should finish.

4. Apply a cooling cream like an aloe vera gel. Nothing perfumed as it will irritate the skin.
